the game that i played was elder scrolls oblivion. its a quest base game that takes you threw a magical world where you have to bring the different regions of the world together to defeat the dark force that has come to take over the land.
This game i found to be extremely addicting and i think the thing that was most appealing was the amount of options you are givin. you don't have to get started right away. if you really want to you can just run around the world of oblivion. i think that was the big appeal for me was amount of freedom your aloud to have in the game. i never played a game that gave me so many options, but even with all these options you can still easily get back to the task at hand to start completing the game. this game took me a whole summer to complete before I came to college and with added expansion and growth in the game. its still one of my favorites when player xbox.

Asterios polyp

Asterios polyp

the story and how its layout is pretty interestingly. it seems to be be more focussed around the shapes and the illustration the try and communicate threw the story. when first looking threw the story it seem to be images supported by quotes. and you have to use the images to understand whats going on. Juxtaposition.

the story was a little hard because it seem to keep jumping around.it seems it takes place in the main characters mind. the transitions are pretty cool, where they sometimes use a symbol to help transition you to the next scene. I also enjoyed how the story seem to revolve around the main character and we look into his subconscious and see how he sees himself. he seems to show himself as this robot geometric shaped figure, that i feel fit very well with his personality and as a male. the story seems to use this tools to really give each character there own personality.  like when they are at the party towards the beginning of the story.  its also interesting to see how his life transitions from his old life to his new life and how he just seems to roll with it.  in the end this for me was a very fun a clever book.

Oryx and Crake

Lit
Oryx and Crake a very interesting story about two individual that take very different paths threw life, but would later come together based on a women that they both saw on the internet when they were young.  Crake is a young man that works his way threw life as a bioengineer and wants to develop a new peaceful world. his friends Jimmy ends up writing ad's. the story is a bit of a love triangle of guilt and betrayal and in the end Jimmy kills Crake after Crake kills Oryx for betraying him.

the story seems very interesting as for how its told and how it develops. its a bit of a modern version of adam an eve. after the death of Crake and Oryx. also the ideas of the apocalypse after Crakes virus takes out the population. its makes you think about how stories are told and how they are passed down for generation.

We want to explore the idea of collaboration and its power of creating an image in an engaging project that will hopefully fill the kids with some kind of enjoyment. We'll have a couple of large sheets of paper for the kids to draw on, only they'll be folded into 3 parts, where one person draws the head, the other the body and the other the legs in any imaginary form they wish. the people drawing each of the sections wont be allowed to see the others, so when its finished and unveiled its usually some extremely humorous concoction of creativity.

emerging cultures

emerging cultures.

for the past few years a genre called electro music which is a genre that came into to play back in 2006 and 2007. the music has been sampled and used in a lot of popular pop radio. everything from Lady gaga to Lenny Kravitz have used the genera in there music. elector music which is the combination of techno music vs rock in its most water down forum. The music has been scene as the back bone for a lot of contemporary popular music, as well as for a lot of emerging artist using the sound as an experimental tool. since 2006 then genre has opened up techno music as well as other sub genres that were before getting lost in the WORLD MUSIC scene. Out of this music also grew a new culture and art scene that kids began to latch on to.

bands and record labels that helped open the door back in 2006 and 2007

RUSHMORE

MR. BLUME

You guys have it real easy. I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here. Because, the fact is, whether you deserve it or not: you go to one of the best schools in the country.
Max's eyes light's up. MR. BLUME Rushmore. You lucked out. Max leans forward to the railing and begins to listen intently.
MR. BLUME Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich, and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs. And take them down. Some of the students and faculty begin to look at each other with puzzled expressions. Max is nodding and taking notes on the flypage of a hymnal. INSERT HYMNAL:
Rushmore -- best school in country. rich kids -- bad? MR. BLUME Just remember: they can buy anything. But they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget that. Thank you.
Mr. Blume leaves the podium. Max leaps to his feet and leads the applause. The organ starts and everyone stands up. EXT. QUADRANGLE DAY Mr. Blume and the headmaster, DR. GUGGENHEIM, come out of the chapel among the throng of students.
Dr. Guggenheim wears a wool coat and smokes a pipe. He is very dashing with silver hair and a warmly patronizing manner. He walks with his hands clasped behind his back. Two Jack Russell terriers follow quickly at his heels.
DR. GUGGENHEIN
Are you free for graduation, Herman? Maybe you could give us an encore. (whistles to the dogs) Nicholas! Copernicus! MR. BLUME (lighting a cigarette)
I don't give a shit. I paid for the whole damn natatorium. The least these little pricks can do is hear me out. MAX Mr. Blume.
Max has appeared beside them. Dirk tags along behind him. MAX My name's Max Fischer. I just wanted to tell you, I strongly agree with your views concerning Rushmore.
MR. BLUME You don't say. Tell me something. How long have you gone here? MAX Ten years. MR. BLUME
Then you've been living in a dreamworld for ten years. MAX Iknowit, sir. Max smiles broadly. They each notice that their haircuts are identical, neatly parted on the side.
MAX Your speech was excellent. Except I disagree with your ideas about rich kids. Because. After all, we don't choose who our fathers are. But that's really my only criticism.
MR. BLUME (hesitates) Thank you.

NOTES
Mr Blume seems to be one the main characters in the story as well as max. He seems to be a friend to max.

Max seems to be a nice young man just trying to make his way threw the world. He is obviously the main character

Ms.Cross is a teacher that Max falls in love with. I think the relationship grows because she sees a part of her old husband in Max and in turn unintentionally leads Max in loving her. When she starts seeing that max becomes Obsessive she backs off and goes to his friend Mr. Blume for help.

Max is not apart of this culture, so he can relates to Mr. Blume. He seems him as a father figure, later there relationship gets destroyed over a women and max takes revenge on Mr. Blume, the revenge then ends with either side happy, and near the end the relationship it brought back after neither him nor Mr Blume can have the heart of Ms.Cross

This story is a coming on age. Of a young boy who is finding himself in the world, he a smart  kid, but he seems a little reckless for his own good. This both drives the character to success and is his weakness as well. He becomes Obsessive and brings much drama to the story.
